If your household is anything like mine, there is a never-ending list of things to do.
Whether the list is 1. Make dog grooming appointment, 2. Book flights for vacation, and 3. Replace the light bulb in the hallway,
or 1. Renew car insurance, 2. Order a birthday present for your best friend, and 3. Reconcile bank account.
Regardless of the list and whether the list is on a big sheet of paper with sticky notes or using magnetic writing surfaces on the refrigerator, both are a way of using the Kanban framework (a framework that is under the umbrella of Agile) to make your items visible to you.
There are great resources around using Agile in your real life.
I’d recommend checking out the resources from Jim Benson at Personal Kanban
I would also recommend following the work of Maria Matarelli and her book Personal Agility.
How do you practice Agile techniques in your real life? Do you find it helpful in your professional role to have practiced in your day-to-day personal life?
Leave a comment or reach out and let me know. I’d love to hear about your experience.
