About The Summit
Event Highlights
Our Agile in Nonprofits Online Summit is designed to showcase the innovative ways nonprofit organizations are implementing Agile methodologies. Unlike traditional summits focused on how-to presentations from Agile trainers, this event highlights the real-world experiences of nonprofit professionals from organizations of various sizes, ages, and missions.
This free 2-hour event is designed for you to come and go as your schedule allows. Each of our six presenters will give a 10-minute presentation on a set schedule so you can log in for the sessions you choose and ask questions live of each presenter.

EVENT EMCEE
Diane began her career as a Program Officer for a state-wide grantmaking organization and she continues to serve as a reviewer for a variety of grantmaking organizations. Since 2006, when she formed DH Leonard Consulting, Diane and her team have secured more than $128.1 million dollars in competitive grant awards and Diane has personally trained more than 91,283 nonprofit professionals. When not working with her team, Diane can be found in the 1000 Islands, out for a run, or drinking a strong cup of coffee.

Andrey will talk about how he used Agile mindset, Scrum framework, and Kanban tools to help him completely change his life in under 1 year by losing 65 lbs, quitting bad habits, and kickstarting his own business ventures that led to his career growth and personal development for years to come.

McKayla and Kathleen reflect on the ways in which PHI adapted the Agile framework to their unique professional environment. The Workforce Innovations Team (WIT) of PHI is a small and mighty team that works on many projects simultaneously. After taking the Scrum Master Training, they realized that it would be necessary to adapt some scrum principles to fit their needs.

Isadora will be talking about how her organization, APIE a small nonprofit that started Scrum last year. As her programs team unfortunately got smaller, they’ve adjusted Scrum to better fit they’re goals. From story points to standups to retrospectives and planning, they’ve changed it all. Isadora decided they could “Scrum as we are” and adapt Scrum to what we needed. It’s been challenging, successful, and rewarding.

In this session, Leyna will explore how Communities in Schools of Pa utilizes SCRUM methodologies to transform training design and delivery. Through adaptive processes and collaborative frameworks, as Director of Learning and Innovation she demonstrates how SCRUM fosters dynamic learning environments, equipping nonprofit professionals with essential skills to drive impactful change in their communities.

In this session, Avi will walk you through how Scrum and Agile principles have been applied in the setting of regenerative agriculture.
